Agreeing to these terms

What this site is

An information site about card processing and merchant services, plus a free referral service. We are not a payment processor, a bank, a lender, a broker or an adviser. We do not process payments and we do not hold money.

Information, not advice

Everything here is general information. It is not financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and it is not a recommendation to use any particular provider. Your situation is specific to you, and you should get professional advice before making a decision that matters. See our disclaimer.

The referral service

If you submit the statement review form, you are asking us to pass your details to our payment-processing partners so they can contact you. By doing that you confirm that:

• the information you give us is true and is yours to give;
• you are authorised to act for the business you are asking about; and
• you understand that a partner will contact you, and that we may be paid if you sign up with them.

Anything that happens after the introduction is between you and that partner. We are not a party to whatever you agree with them, we do not supervise them, and we cannot cancel, change or enforce a contract you sign with them.

The calculators

The tools on this site produce estimates from the numbers you type in. They run in your browser, they store nothing, and they cannot see your actual statement. An estimate is not a quote, and it is not a promise of what anything will cost.

Using the site properly

You agree not to:

• submit false information, or somebody else's information without their permission;
• use the form to send spam, or to test or attack it;
• scrape, copy or republish the content without permission;
• try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the site; or
• use the site for anything unlawful.

We may block access if you do any of these. The statement review form is rate limited and protected by a bot check.

Our content

The words, design and tools on this site belong to us. You are welcome to read them, print them and share links. You may not republish substantial parts of them as your own. Provider names and logos belong to those companies, and we use them only to identify who we are writing about.

Links to other sites

We link to sources and to providers. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what is on them.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep this site accurate, but rates, fees and rules change constantly and providers do not always publish them clearly. The site is provided as is. We do not guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free, or that it will always be available.

Limit on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site, from anything you read on it, or from any dealings you have with a partners we introduced you to. That includes lost profit, lost savings and business interruption.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud. Some provinces and states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnity

If somebody brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or misused the site, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the site means you accept the new version.
