Four things we want to be completely clear about.

Last updated: September 17, 2026

1. We are not a payment processor

RateCheckrr does not process card payments. We are not a bank, an acquirer, an independent sales organisation or a payment facilitator. We cannot open a merchant account for you, we cannot see your transactions, and we cannot refund anything.

We are a referral service. We introduce you to our payment-processing partners and may be paid if you sign up with one of them. See how we make money.

2. Nothing here is advice

Everything on this site is general information for a general audience. It is not financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and it is not a recommendation to choose or avoid any provider.

Your business has its own numbers, its own contracts and its own circumstances. Before you sign, cancel or change anything, talk to somebody qualified who knows your situation.

3. We cannot promise you will save money

The free statement review might show that you are overpaying. It might show that your current deal is fine. Both are useful answers, and we genuinely do not mind which one you get.

Nobody on this site, and none of the partners we introduce you to, can promise a specific saving before they have read your actual statement. If anybody in this industry quotes you a guaranteed percentage saving before seeing your numbers, be careful.

4. Rates, fees and rules change constantly

Interchange rates are revised on a schedule. Card network rules change. Surcharging law differs by province and by state and has changed several times. Providers change their pricing without much warning.

We date every page with when it was last reviewed, and we say where our information came from. Even so, always check the current position with the provider or the regulator before acting on it. Where we do not have a source for a number, we say so on the page rather than guessing.

About the calculators

The tools produce estimates from the numbers you type in. They cannot see your statement and they do not know your card mix. An estimate is a guide, not a quote.

About provider pages

We describe how providers price, bill and cancel. We are not affiliated with those companies unless a page says so, and their names and trademarks belong to them. If we have described your pricing incorrectly, tell us: hello@ratecheckrr.com.
